Ryan Bracius, MS
Director of Athletic Development
Ryan Bracius is Fit2Live's Director of Athletic Development. Ryan's knowledge combined with his experience make him a very valuable tool to athletes in the area.
Prior to Fit2Live, Ryan served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Rockford College Football program. Preceding his time with the Regents, he was a collegiate strength coach for two different Division I universities. He spent two years at Northern Illinois University where he worked alongside Shea Thompson. While at NIU, Ryan worked with athletes from various programs, including Mens & Womens Tennis, Cross Country, Track & Field, and Football; coach Bracius also spent a year and half working with the Iowa State University football strength and conditioning program.
In addition to his collegiate experience, Ryan worked with various constituencies as Site Director at Get Fast Inc Acceleration in Naperville, Illinois, and as a speed coach/personal trainer at Elite Fitness Institute in Vernon Hills, Illinois. Ryan worked with athletes from youth to Olympic/Professional at both Get Fast Inc, and Elite Fitness Institute.
On the field, Ryan was a member of the Iowa State Cyclone football team from 19992002. He also was the starting tight end for the Bolingbrook Buccaneers and played for the Rock River Raptors football teams. Ryan is a National Strength and Conditioning Association certified Strength and Conditioning specialist and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Ryan has a M.S. Ed in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Northern Illinois University and a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Iowa State University.Ryan and his wife Mary (formerly Cofield) have three children: Sebastian (4), Abigail (3) and their newest addition Maci, who was born in May.
