"The best training choice for anyone at any age"
by Dick H.

I am an older adult. For the past 25 years I have run/jogged and/or participated in structured exercise classes at YMCAs or health clubs to stay physically active. As a result my weight stayed constant and my energy level and health were good. But I always felt like something was missing.

I am convinced that Fit2Live's CrossFit training is unequivocally the best general training choice for anyone at any age. Is it easy? No. Is it worth it? Yes. Quite simply, it produces results. Since joining last year all my functional movements are stronger, my stamina has improved and I have lost weight.

"My core is the strongest it has ever been"

by Suzanne M.

Last fall I knew I needed to be doing some weight training, but the routines I found seemed daunting. When I would lift weights I would do a couple sets with light weights and call it good. Then I found Fit2Live. All I have to do is show up ... the daunting task of figuring what to do and when is gone. I've been going three times a week for a year now and couldn't be happier with the improvements. My core is the strongest it's ever been. Exercises that were difficult are becoming much easier. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. I look forward to many more workouts at Fit2Live.

"Thank you ... for giving me back my life!"

by Lori D.

I first joined the Women's Fitness Challenge in June of '09. After 5 weeks I lost 12 inches. I joined a 2nd. Women's Fitness Challenge right after that, and lost another 12 inches. When I first started I was 225lb. and very unhealthy. I made a commitment to myself to change my lifestyle, and become healthy. I now weigh 180lbs. and hope to weigh 145 by summer for my 45th b-day. Thank you Fit2Live for giving me back my life!

"My joints and back no longer bother me"

by Trish H.

I am not a person that loves to exercise, but FIT2LIVE has worked out well for me. I started coming here in November of 2008 because my hips, knees and back were bothering me. I decided it was time to take charge and get into better shape. My joints and back no longer bother me, I feel better and am healthier. I enjoy coming because it is a different routine every day, you do not have to be young and fit, and you get to know the trainers. I really like that they teach you how to do the exercises the correct way to prevent injuries. I have and will continue to tell my family and friends what a great place it and encourage them to join the group. Come and see what it is all about.

"Challenging, intense and efficient"

by Rob C.

If you are looking for a program which can offer life changing results, Fit2Live is the place to go in Iowa City. The workouts are challenging, intense and efficient. The workouts accomplish in 45 minutes what would take me 90 or 120 minutes if I was doing a workout on my own in your standard gym. The trainers are not in your face drill instructors but positive and demanding. The trainers push and encourage each person to exceed their own expectations which enables you to continue to meet your goals. I started working out at Fit2Live in October 2008 and attained results quickly.

"I lost 12 inches in 5 weeks"

by Rachel H.

I joined Fit2LIve after completing the womens fitness challenge. In 5 weeks, I lost 12 inches, felt energized, and noticed an overall sense of well-being from regular exercise. I had to continue the diverse, intense, full-body workouts Fit2Live provides. I joined CrossFit and workout 5 sometimes 6 times per week. Their trainers are very personable and helpful. They get to know you and how much weight you should use for each exercise. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for a place to get quick results, feel good, and reach health maintenance goals.

"Fit2Live workouts keep me motivated"

by Steve D

I started going to Fit2live in January 2009. I'm a person that wasn't very motivated and had let my body go through the years. Unlike other facilities that I had tried, Fit2live workouts kept me motivated, the staff pushed me to new levels and continue to challenge me. I was amazed at how the workouts have changed my life. Exercises that I couldn't do 10 months ago I can now do. I have been transitioning my body over the last ten months and look forward to what I can achieve in the future! If you need a workout that will challenge, motivate, and improve your life, go to Fit2live and check it out!

"I am back in my skinny jeans"

by Shelley S.

I started working out at Fit2Live in September, 2008. I was wanting a workout where I was going to get the results I was striving for and have fun at the same time. This is the place to go. Fit2Live has workouts that will challenge you, work those "problem" areas, and you will have FUN at the same time! It is never the same boring routine day after day. The work out is different every day, which keeps it fun and interesting. The trainers at Fit2Live are wonderful. They work with you to help you reach your goals, they push you to meet your fitness potential, and they encourage you to do your best. Since starting a year ago, I have lost 20 pounds, 11% body fat and 16 total inches. I am now running 5K's almost every weekend and feeling the best I have felt in a long time. I am back in my skinny jeans and my friends have told me that I am skinny. Thank you Fit2Live! Check it out, you will not want to go anywhere else!

"Big results while having fun"

by
Donna D. (click for pictures)

The staff at Fit2live are encouraging while challenging you beyond your current self-belief- you don't know your limits unless you are pushed beyond them. Nothing drastic- encouragement to use a 16 kg weight instead of 20 pound weight, run 3 times around the building without walking; run 2 or 3 miles when you thought 1 mile was a bit much; finally 10 miles. I hated running until I met new friends at fit2live. Now I enjoy getting together 2-3 times a week to run with friends!

The staff are always encouraging, believe in your abilities when you may not, and have a knack of knowing when you are slacking.

Small changes over time with big results while having fun with new friends!

"Fit2Live changed my life"

by Adam H.
(click for pictures)

I started my membership at Fit2Live on May 1, 2011 which was a day I will never forget. That was the day that I realized it was time for a lifestyle change, in other words I was so exhausted after a workout I realized I was dangerously overweight and unhealthy,

The first week was the hardest for me because I wasn't able to do most of the workouts, but I didn't quit thanks to the encouragement of the Fit2Live trainers. It was also the hardest due to the fact that I wasn't seeing any weight loss. Fit2Live changed that thought by giving me a packet about nutrition and how to eat the right way. About three weeks into working out at Fit2Live and eating correctly, I started losing weight and the results only got better.

The great thing about Fit2Live is that not only do the trainers encourage you to push yourself, but they also make sure that you are exercising with the proper technique and amount of weight. Also the trainers aren't the only people that encourage you to push yourself all the members push each other by words of encouragement and by friendly competition.

Fit2Live is a great gym for people with all different physical capabilities and has changed my life. I lost 63 pounds and accomplished my goal of enlisting in the United States Marine Cops and couldn't have done it without Fit2Live.

"I am leaner and stronger than I have ever been"

by
Doug G. (click for pictures)

I moved to Iowa City in 1990 and have since been a member at almost every gym in town. My routine was chest, triceps, biceps, and back. Just like the big guys. I would have about six good weeks of lifting until injured myself by using improper form or too heavy weight. After a long recovery period Id hit it again. This was a vicious cycle that repeated itself for almost 19 years with very little results. My cardio consisted of jogging. I jogged in pain due to repeated battles with shin splints. Again, time off for recovery and then hit the pavement again.

In 2009 I was told about a new gym with a different philosophy. I knew a couple of people that had joined and they constantly raved about it so I decided to visit. After entering the gym I was met at the door by a trainer. I was given a tour and a complimentary workout. I joined the next day. Since then I have not had an injury that
required time off. Not once. I am 48 years old and leaner and stronger than I have ever been. I feel better than I ever have, both physically and mentally.

Fit2Live incorporates kettlebells into their fitness programs and the trainers are well versed in the proper use of them. Your entire workout is monitored by the trainers, who ensure exercises are performed correct and safe. All of the staff at Fit2Live motivates members to push themselves. Routine assessments are given to all members to track progress and nutritional education is constantly posted on the website. I explained my running issues to the staff as well. I was instructed on proper running form and given a routine that allowed me to build up to a half marathon. I run up to 3 times a week and have not had shin pain in over a year!

With that being said, by far the most important and special part about membership at Fit2Live is the workout partners. I feel fortunate to know these people. They are dedicated, motivated, and fun people that show up daily and push me to be better and to do more than I did the day before. I cannot imagine working out anywhere else.

"Fit2Live has given me the motivation to commit myself to a healthier lifestyle all around"

by Stacey D
(click for picture)

I started Fit2Live almost two years ago this spring at the bequest of one of my best friends, he knew I was looking for some type of fitness program to help me get into shape and he said that Fit2Live was the only place to go. I started with Beach Body Bootcamp (now known as Look Great Naked) and then transitioned into cross fit last summer. I'm addicted, I love it!!! Overall I have lost around 5% body fat and increased my strength and endurance for all types of cardio. I don't get too hung up on specific numbers like my body weight whats more important to me is how I feel and the difference in how my clothes fit. One of the biggest things the gym has helped me with in making me successful in getting into shape is making me more knowledgeable about nutrition, I now know that regardless of all the working out you do if you don't eat right and put good food in your body it can negate any progression in your physical activity. Fit2Live has given me the motivation to commit myself to a healthier lifestyle all around.

Years ago I never would have seen myself as someone who desires to workout. I mean lets be honest, for those that know me I was the kid in gym class who could never climb the rope, barely run a mile, and the only basket I scored for my junior high basketball team was for the wrong basket. Most people would be surprised to see what a priority I now place on staying in shape, eating right, and how much I enjoy it. I'm now motivated to increase my activities outside of the gym. I love running outdoors, hiking, and once the spring hits and the weather gets warmer, I plan on purchasing my first road bike. As well as, taking up swimming and start working towards the goal of completing a mini triathlon!! Im also now planning on participating in a Tough Mudder competition with several other Fit2Live members this July. Its good for me to try new things so I never get bored or complacent with my physical activity. Another goal of mine this year is to be able to do a pull-up with out using a resistance band!

I had tried different gyms previously, and tried yo-yo diets before but I always eventually got bored or frustrated with doing the same thing over and over again. Its great having trainers to talk to on a daily basis and them knowing what your goals are and what you need to work on in order to achieve them. The social aspect of Fit2Live is refreshing, Ive never met one person that didn't want to be there, being around trainers and members that enjoy what they're doing helps in making you want to return again and again.

I'm the General Manager of Donnellys, an Irish Pub downtown Iowa City, it always keeps me incredibly busy especially during Football season and special days like the upcoming St. Patricks Day!!! So if Im not at home or at the gym Im definitely there. I never get to see people from Fit2Live there so come visit me (yes we actually have healthy options on the menu)!! I travel as much as possible during the year visiting family and friends; Im dedicated enough to CrossFit that I now seek out other CrossFit gyms when I take vacations.

The only piece of advice I can give, that always works for me, is that if you take a break from going to the gym or working out, whether it be short or extended, you can always go back and get right back into it!!! It's so important in so many ways, keep it up!!!

"The only easy day was yesterday"

by
Nick S. (click for pictures)

Before coming into Fit2Live I knew very little about CrossFit. Most of the stuff I had read on the weight lifting message board I frequent was negative. Many of the posters on there called it a cult and said that it made the women look hot and the men look small. After watching a few videos and seeing some of the pictures of the participants I had to agree that the female crossfitters did indeed look pretty good. None of the guys I saw were the size of Arnold but I couldn't help but notice that they all looked better with their shirts off than I did and they were definitely faster and stronger than I was. As much as I didn't want to admit it, I needed a change.

At 18 I weighed 160 lbs and was running 3 miles a day in the summer heat. At 25 I weighed 220, could barely run a mile, and got winded walking up the steps at my parking ramp. Last year I was at a downtown bar watching an Iowa game with one of my buddies. He asked me what I knew about CrossFit and after talking we agreed we had about the same level of knowledge on it. I told him I knew there was a gym over on Highway 1 that offered it and he surprisingly told me that we should try it. As I looked at my life at the bottom of a pint glass I decided that it couldn't hurt. We went in for a week and after seeing women 15 years older than me beat me at all of the workouts I realized how out of shape I really I was. I made one of the best decisions of my life and joined. The rest is history.

I have been going to fit2live for a little over a year and I not only love the intensity but the group aspect and the camaraderie. I think working out with a group of people in very motivational. When I see someone sandbagging a workout it makes me push myself harder. When I see someone lifting more weight or completing more circuits than I do, I work twice as hard. It is all in good fun of course. I also believe there is no way that most people would be able to push themselves as hard as they do on their own. There have been many times that I looked at a workout on the board and thought there is no way I'll ever be able to do this. Thanks to the instructors and peer pressure, I have been able to complete every workout.

There are many secrets to achieving strength, fitness, and a great body. These secrets are revealed in the form of enlightenment and are gained through hard work and discipline. One of the most important aspects of this is goal setting. Without a goal in mind you are just spinning your tires. Most people have a few different ongoing goals and have also had many different goals depending on the stage of their life. Some of my goals have ranged from only caring about having 6 pack abs to being a big as humanly possible. Currently I only care about training that will be functional in real life. I try to train to be able to survive in fitness-dependent situations such as swimming out of a sinking car, escaping a hostage situation, or even rescuing a group of animals from a flame engulfed pet store. No matter what your goal is, the key is to prioritize them, find the best method to achieve said goals, and keep your eye on the prize. If you ever have issues sticking to your game plan I highly recommend watching the movies Vision Quest and Pumping Iron. They will keep you motivated.

Outside of the gym I do a lot of free weight work. I almost exclusively do military press, deadlifts, bench press, and squats, the big 4. I also enjoy playing racquetball immensely and I am on a sand flag football team in Des Moines. When not doing physical activities, you can find me working with computers or fist pumping on the dance floor at the Union on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

If I could dole out one piece of advice is would be to follow the Navy Seal saying: The only easy day was yesterday. If you can follow this quote and keep in ingrained in your mind, every workout will be more difficult than the one before it. You will always push yourself in your workout harder than you did on the day before. Each day you will be stronger than the last, and this is called progress. Short of that, I think Hulk Hogan said it best when he said Train, say your prayers, eat your vitamins, be true to yourself, true to your country, be a real American.

"I am in the best shape of my life"

by
Carla A.

I joined Fit2Live four months after my son was born. I was incredibly out of shape, not able to do a single sit-up or push-up. The trainers guided me through graduated modifications of sit-ups and push-ups until I strengthened my core muscles and became more physically fit. They also educated me on nutrition goals and asked for updates on my personal progress. I am now in the best shape of my life and extremely happy with the quick results. Although I originally came to the gym wanting physical results, I got so much more from the family atmosphere. Kind of like Cheers...everybody knows your name and it is not a spandex gym! People of all ages can come and are made to feel welcome and encouraged to progress at their own pace within a group atmosphere, so no one is singled out. I actually never want to move from Iowa City because I would have to leave my gym!

"I like the variety of workouts"

by Brent D (pictures coming soon)

In the fall of 2008, I became interested in Fit2Live after hearing my daughter Shelby talk about the unique workouts she was doing. The variety of the workouts is one reason I like Fit. When I worked out in years past I would repeat the same lifts and run "x" amount of miles. Every workout was the same- boring. At Fit2Live, I enjoy the closeness of the instructors- they take the time to get to know you and that makes the work out go that much better.

I have no secrets when it comes to working out- you just have to get yourself there (to Fit) and workout. As I recently discovered, eating right goes hand in hand, if you want to see positive results- be active and eat right.

I stay motivated through different things- the other people in class keep my energy up and by watching my waistline shrink. My biggest motivation though is my family- but in particular my wife and eldest daughter. My wife is a constant positive support- even when I am a pain. My daughter- I couldn't ask for a better workout partner, she keeps me going when I want to stop.

Helpful hints- Stay the course, Slow and steady wins the race, or my new words.... if you want change, you have to want it!

Interesting tidbit- Since weightlifting at Fit is not necessarily an everyday thing- I felt that I was not increasing my strength like I thought I should be. Recently one of our workouts was a maximum lift type routine. I benched the most I have ever benched and then added a few more pounds for good measure.

"There's nothing like this in Iowa City"

by Shari A

It is not easy writing a testimonial that people can truly believe with all the superlatives that have already been written about Fit2Live. But it is all true. I have been a member since the day it opened and seen results that I and my doctors never believed could happen.

I religiously go to CrossFit 6 times per week, even if I am feeling tired or having a tough day. Why? Here is why. The results. I dropped my blood pressure from 174/110 to 110/74. I stopped a debilitating disease so that even my doctors want to come to Fit2Live. I am not kidding. Just since this June [2009], I dropped 27 lbs., reduced my body fat by 34% and feel young again. I never knew I could be this fit at the age of 54. The trainers are knowledgeable, kind, inspiring and this atmosphere inspires all the members to be and stay positive and help each other to have the kind of fit lives we need with stressful daily lives.

Young athletes or older people, overweight and hopeless, afraid to start to work-out? This is the place for you. No cold machines, no faceless gym membership. It is just you, the trainers and the Work Out of the Day. You go at your own pace. And if you want a challenge, do the Women's Fitness Challenge or the "300". I've done them both and can attest that there is nothing like this In Iowa City. Or Iowa or maybe the world!

"Just walking through the door puts you farther ahead of many others"

by Peggy K (c
lick for pictures)

I have tried to be physically active all of my life. I have read a lot about nutrition and fitness in my endless endeavor to lose weight. Over the past few years, research shows that CrossFit type of workouts gives you greater calorie burn in less time. So I decided to join Fit2live in December of 2009. I love the variety of the workouts! I love to exercise but get bored easily which would then result in the nagging dread to even get started with my workout. I have met great people at Fit2Live and enjoy the positive atmosphere. I am not the fastest or the strongest but have never felt bad about that. We all know it's a challenge to do so, just the fact that you keep coming back makes you a success.

Tips
I set goals but realistic ones. I used to be a perfectionist with my food & exercise but I realize you cant do that long term. My goal is to attend CrossFit five times a week so I try to go early in the week in case something comes up later.

Something that helps me stay motivated is not looking too far in the future, I just focus on getting CrossFit done for today. Also, having my FitLlive assessments done keeps me motivated. I like seeing where my body fat percentile is & what my inches lost are at periodic intervals. The trainers help tremendously - I appreciate the feedback on how to do an exercise properly or push a little harder. I admit, when I am jogging up Benton hill I can hear Matt saying, Come on, push through it.

Be proud of yourself for doing this, enjoy the process and know that just walking through the door puts you farther ahead of many others.

"I credit Fit2Live for my quick recovery"

by Jim B
(Click for pictures)

I first started working with Aaron before he opened up Fit2Live and have been with the gym ever since. I like the CrossFit concept because the program gives me a well rounded strength and cardiovascular routine. If I am not able to make a workout, I do a barbell/dumbbell routine two to three times a week in my basement. I also participate in Tae Kwon Do with my two sons once or twice a week.

This past July I completely tore my ACL (knee ligament) in a Tae Kwon Do tournament. My goals immediately shifted from being as fit as I had ever been, to being able to bend my knee past 90 degrees and walking normally. Ten days after the injury I started coming back to Fit2Live and did a lot of rowing. Every time I did, my range of motion increased and the knee felt a lot better. Soon after that I started doing CrossFit and modified the workout of the day, since there were a lot of things I couldn't do yet. Now, two months after the injury, I feel like my performance is the same as it was before. I have canceled my knee surgery, at least for now, and am experimenting with getting back into Tae Kwon Do. I participated in the Run For The Schools and finished 2 minutes and 30 seconds faster than last year, finishing at 23:42 minutes. I credit Fit2Live for my quick recovery. I received a lot of good advice from several of the trainers and I'm convinced that the muscle strength and increased blood circulation from the workouts made the healing process work faster.

Tips
I think my secret is that I enjoy the routine of going to the gym and working out at home enough that I hardly ever miss a workout. At the age of 47 I feel more energetic and fit than I ever have and I want to stay that way, that is what keeps me motivated.

If I were to give advise to others, I would say Push yourself hard.

"I want to tell every heavy women how better their life could be"

by Martha F

Christmas 2008: I got ready for mass that morning by putting on my size 22 dress. It was extremely tight, but it was the biggest one I had and I thought I looked good. Family pictures were taken after mass.

I was heavy in high school, 5 feet tall wearing a size 16, but I came by it naturally. My family was German and we were stocky people. I gained, I lost, but I never got below my high school size. I walked for a while, but gave it up. I prayed, asking the Lord to take me to the size he thought best for me, and this is where I ended up. My husband married me just seven years prior in a size 22, and was still in love with me. I thought I was happy being fat.

And then I saw the picture and cried real tears. I was embarrassed by how large I was, and how I thought I looked good. I knew at that moment that I had to do something. Anything. I thought of the different routes I could take Weight Watchers, Overeaters Anonymous even surgery. I opted for the easiest choice surgery. Spoke with my family doctor who was opposed, but what does he know? Told my nurse friend, she wouldnt even talk to me about it, but she had never had a weight problem. And then I talked with my friend, she was adamantly opposed on a medical and personal level. canceled my surgery. No one seemed to understand what I was going through. I needed to feel good about myself and I couldn't do anything about it. Could I?

I made an appointment with a nutritionist in January of 2009 who gave me many pointers and we worked together for several months. From January to December of 2009 I lost 90 pounds! I felt great and was well on my way - until my friend (boss) invited me to try out her gym, and for the first time in my life I went to a gym.

As you know the gym was Fit2Live and since I started in December I have lost an additional 20 pounds, now wear a size 14, a size I haven't seen since 10th grade! But what that previous sentence doesn't tell you is the amount of muscle I have developed, the additional confidence I gained or how good I feel about me!!!

Never in my life have I jogged or ran, nor had I ever wanted to. People who run marathons or races are all nuts, aren't they? I started walking last fall and enjoyed it, although I didn't know what I was doing, and eventually worked up to jogging 1 miles. We ran from time to time as part of our workout, so over spring I started running again, because if I could do it in a gym, I could do it at home. I wasnt fast, but I was determined.

In March I told my workout friend I planned on running the Bix. I had lived in Davenport, even on the race course at one point, and had NEVER thought of joining those goofballs wasting their time running/walking. But now it was a passion for me a goal I had to meet. And sure enough, June 24th I did it! 1 hour, 45 minutes, placing 10,385th, but I did it. I ran half and walked half, but I DID IT!!!!! I marked another item off my weight loss bucket list.

I could never have gotten to there without a lot of hard work, determination and Fit2Live. I would have given up a long time ago if it weren't for the trainers and my workout buddies. Thank you guys for helping me achieve all my goals. I've lost 112 pounds, 10 dress sizes, can now bike 22 miles and run four miles. I still look at that picture from Christmas 08 and I want to cry. I will never look that way again and I want to tell every heavy woman how much better their life could be.

"My knee no longer hurt and my back was feeling stronger"

by Beth A
(click for pictures)

I joined Fit2ive after completing the womens fitness challenge in October 2009. I lost 14 1/2" and 3% body fat in 5 weeks and my team won the challenge. Exercise was a dirty word for me, just like diet. Several fellow workers talked me into joining the challenge. I loved it! It was fun, and the trainers were terrific and very understanding.

I could not do everything at first due to a prior knee and back injury. The trainers helped me adjust the workouts to my abilities and by the end of the challenge my knee no longer hurt and my back was feeling stronger. I then joined CrossFit and really enjoy the variety of the workouts. I go to the gym three times a week and have yet to do the same workout. My family has noticed the changes and they have now joined the gym and are enjoying it also. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a fun workout that really gets fast results.

"The workouts are challenging but achievable"

by
Michael T (click for pictures)

I became interested in Fit2Live early in 2009 when we received a "try it out" pass from a friend who was already a member. My wife and I had been on the lookout for a gym that offered more than sterile rows of workout equipment monitored by disinterested trainers who rarely had any contact with the clients after the enrollment papers were signed.

I joined the gym in February of 2009. I lived through the initial shocking adjustment period. I haven't ever regretted the decision. It's probably one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I could come up with a very long list of things I like about Fit2Live but rather than trying to list them all maybe I can touch on a few high points.

I like the training staff. Every one of them has helped me out at one time or another. They have provided helpful tips for completing workouts in a way that maximizes benefit and minimizes injury. But over and above that, they never cease to be encouraging. That's important! It's impossible to be discouraged when you see Stephanie's smiling face or Shea explains a technique or Lane amazes you with his strength and his patience. Aaron has done something right by assembling his great crew.

I like the workouts. They change every day. They are challenging but achievable. They seem to always have a purpose that is directed toward a goal somewhere in the future. They actually get results. Like all members, I whine about them but truthfully I look forward to doing the workout. I hate to miss them. I feel good when I finish and I feel a sense of success.

I enjoy the company of the wide variety of people that I have met. This has been an opportunity to meet people with whom I may have never had contact. Everyone has an amusing story or an interesting adventure. Like the training staff they encourage each other. That makes things more fun. Working out alone is not very interesting. My rotating work schedule gives me an opportunity to participate with lots of people. That's a plus.

If there is a secret to fitness, I think that it must become an activity that is fun. If it is not fun then it becomes work. Finding Fit2Live was a real blessing. Slogging through a workout because you have to will eventually end in failure. Participating in a workout because you like it can only end in success.

Two years ago I became motivated when I went to the first day of our try it out week. I was fairly certain that paramedics would have to be involved when I attempted to do 30 seconds of box jumps. Little by little, I have made improvements. There is plenty of room for more but I'm certain that hard work will help that along.

The Biggest Loser Challenge convinced me every one can reach their goal weight! I wanted to lose twenty pounds when I joined Fit2Live in May, 2011. I was so surprised how easy it was. If you have the motivation, Fit2Live gives you everything you need--including the all-important, accountability. It's as simple as showing up to the gym and counting calories. It was so exciting to watch the scale go down by two pounds every week of the BLC. Equally as exciting was rewarding myself with new clothes in sizes I have never worn before! Through the nutritional meetings and the support of other members and the trainers, you learn how much food your body really needs. It is possible to lose weight and not be hungry all the time! I've also been surprised at how easy it has been to keep the weight off. Although Fit2Live gave me the tools to lose weight, the more important lesson has been how to live a sustainable, healthy lifestyle at my new weight. I can't say enough good things about Fit2Live and the Biggest Loser Challenge!

"This program gave me the added accountability that I need to be successful. I always knew what I should be doing, but I was not able to make myself make the right choices. I followed this program closely. I focused on the nutritional challenges, and completed the extra weekly challenges that encouraged me both physically and mentally to think about what I was eating and doing. The weekly focuses were very helpful, it made me think more about what types of food I ate, when I ate them, and how much I ate. It forced me to identify some of my self-sabotaging thoughts, and work to alter my habits and learn ways to handle and overcome these thoughts and situations."

"The Biggest Loser Challenge series at Fit2Live has been life-changing. I lost 22% of my body weight in 10 weeks. I have been doing CrossfFt for a while but never realized that eating right was the key to weight loss. I loved how nutritional challenges were laid out to make transition easier and help develop healthy habits. During the course of challenge support from Instructors and support groups was invaluable to keep me on track and motivated. I would signup for any new challenges at Fit2Live without a second thought."- Uday, 27 pounds / 22% BW ( click for pictures)
